Nothing like a good glass of water.

These were my mother's last words.

Strange and oddly profound in their simplicity... much like her.

You are missed, but we will keep your spirit with us in our cooking, our love and our humor.

Safe passage, we love you.

I'm so sorry for your great loss. I remember the last thing my Granmother ever said. I know how that moment stays. ((HUG))

Thanks everyone. I wanted to post more about her, and maybe that will come. For now I'm still at the stage where words fail.

She put up quite a good fight and lived every moment as fully as she was able to. I feel good about that.

Thanks again for your sweet words and wishes.

Oh I'm sos orry to read your sad news. Lots of love.

As last words your mother's are good. They conjure up an image of contentment and practicality at the end. My all time favourite last words are from C18 British Prime Minister William Pitt the Younger - 'I could eat one of Bellamy's veal pies'.

Hmmm...

Thanks Rabbit. You are very kind and as always, I've learned something. And also, I'm wondering about meat pies, more specifically veal pies. hmmmmmm.... yes.

Thanks SB. Love you too.

I saw byline on a mag that was something about a Viking Prayer. I thought of you and your man.
